Colorado River Rafting

The Colorado River is one of America's "must raft" rivers. Rafting the Colorado River through Cataract Canyon is a powerful, unforgettable experience.

On these trips you will get to travel through the heart of Canyonlands National Park and then cascades through the once-feared Cataract Canyon.

Each of our trips through Cataract Canyon offers a unique blend of excitement and solitude. You also have the opportunity to experience western outdoor cooking and hospitality at its finest.

Forty-nine miles down river you will come to the confluence of the Green and Colorado rivers. This is the beginning of Cataract Canyon, which contains some of the most exciting whitewater in the West. You’ll run rapids like little Niagra, and Satan’s Gut as well as twenty-three other exciting rapids.

Your experienced Tour West guides will guide you safely through the rapids, as well as provide interpretive understanding of the history, geology, ecology, and Native American interpretation of the area.

We feel that our food is the finest on the river. We provide three well-balanced meals each day, with fresh fruits and vegetables with each meal. Candy bars and fruit are provided for snacks each day. We can accommodate people with special dietary needs.

The Cataract Canyon trip travels through one of the most beautiful canyons in the West. Throughout the entire trip you will be traveling through Canyonlands National Park. It also contains some of the premier whitewater in the West. This trip is appropriate for both first time river runners and experienced river runners.

At the end of your trip you will be at Hite Marina on Lake Powell. From here you have the option to either fly by charter plane back to Moab or have your car shuttled to Hite Marina.
