It is New Years Eve (almost) This will be our last post for 2012. I am sitting here on a cold winter day (17 degrees this morning) thinking about the year ahead. One thing I know for sure is that there will be beautiful nights, sunny days, sandy beaches, and clear blue water on the river this summer. There will be exciting rapids, yummy food, time for hiking, and talking, and laughing. I for one cannot wait and hope I get out of the office for at least a week to visit one of our beautiful rivers. I hope everyone has a wonderful year in 2013!

This is the view from my home if I look to the North. It is the most beautiful day. I am thinking it takes a lot of snow to cover the mountains. Lots of snow means plenty of water in our rivers. Plenty of water means amazing river trips in the Summer. I can’t wait. I think Christmas can now come. The only draw back is how cold it is. Quite a contrast from a summer in the Grand Canyon to winter in Utah for many of us. Merry Christmas everyone.
