River Manager

Monday, January 28th, 2013

IMG_1325Jason is our River Manager.  If you want to know anything about the rivers we run call him.  He grew up running the river and after graduating with a microbiology degree decided the job that would make him the happiest was working for a river company.  Here he is hard at work!

Calling the Tour West for a Grand Canyon Trip on Friday

Saturday, January 26th, 2013

If you call our office on a Friday Marcie will be working.  She started out working for Tour West when she was in college.  She worked for us for several years as a river guide.  When she got married and became a Mom she started working in the office.  We love Marcie and you will too.  Call her with any questions you might have.  She loves talking to people about the rivers we run.  Here is a picture of Marcie at work today.  IMG_1315

NEW CARPET

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013

A couple of weeks ago we finally got new carpet in the office.  We had completely worn holes in the seams rolling our chairs back and forth.  We must have been working hard selling our river trips.  What do you think?  Or maybe we all need to go on diets.  Please don’t answer that.  Well anyway here is a picture.  IMG_1313

Longing for Summer

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013

It has been pretty cold across much of our United States.  Even Southern California had a cold spell.  Don’t get me wrong I am surrounded by beautiful mountains covered with snow.  Each morning the world I wake up in is covered with frost.  It is beautiful!  I love the seasons.  I just want to be warmer.  I  want to sit next to a river and see a beautiful waterfall.  If anyone out there is longing for summer here is a picture to remind us71905_1658969236530_1306126935_1802057_4291796_n of Summer’s beauty!

It is cold here.

Friday, January 4th, 2013

If any of you are experiencing frigid January temperatures right now think of a summer trip rafting in the Grand Canyon.  It is 7 degrees where we are right now.  It makes those cold Colorado River temperatures of 48 degrees seem warm.

Grand Canyon is one of the most beautiful places!
