One question we get asked occasionally is “Will my kids be bored?”

NO!

Kids love river trips!  Water, Rapids, Sand, Sunshine.  It is a great adventure for children and teenagers!

Havasu Canyon is one of the most well known side canyons in the Grand Canyon.

We are able to stop at this beautiful place on out 6, 8 and 12 night trips.

We try to plan at least a few hours here to give you a chance to hike up a ways and relax, swim and enjoy the beauty.

Buckskin Bill and Frank Stratton on the Main Salmon River

Monday, March 9th, 2015

Frank Stratton, founder of Tour West, and Sylvan Hart better known as Buckskin Bill in the early 70’s at Five Mile Bar on the Salmon River.  Sylvan settled on the Main Salmon River in 1929 and lived there for 50 years. There is a great little museum honoring Buckskin Bill that you enjoy when you raft with us down the Salmon River.  Frank founded Tour West in 1969.  His family continues to run Tour West.  Although both of these great men have passed away their legacies continue.
