We drove to Idaho yesterday to bring all the equipment home for cleaning, painting, and repair. I was amazed at how much smoke is in the state of Idaho from the fires burning there. Visibility was poor from the beginning and the smoke got thicker with each mile we traveled North. I couldn’t help thinking how cooler air will be welcomed in Idaho. The residents there will be so glad when the fires are out. I am attaching a picture of the beautiful Salmon River. I can’t wait until the fires are out, summer comes again, and we are on the river. It is such an amazing place to send a long summer day!

The river season is winding down. We hope everyone that traveled with us
enjoyed their trips. It is always sad to see the season end, but we busy ourselves with
equipment repairs, painting, selling, cleaning, buying, and a little bit of resting.
We are always sad to see a river season end, but look forward to April to begin
again. We are doing what we love, taking people on the Salmon River,

Here is a picture of my Grand Canyon River stuff. The white shirt is perfect for the river. It is old. It has a hole in it. But it is cotton, lite, and will protect me from the sun. The sunglasses are an absolute. You also need something like the yellow chums to make sure you don’t loose your glasses in the river. The last is my pink hat. I always like pink on the river for some reason. My pony tail holds it on. If you don’t have a pony tail make sure you have a hat with a good tie on. Look for more exciting essential river stuff to be posted in the future!

I thought I better post a picture of the Salmon River. It is to me one of the most beautiful places in the world and you can get ice cream at Buckskin Bills, play volley ball on their lawn, and see a country garden that you would never expect to find on the river. It is an amazing surprise in the middle of a river trip!
