The Main Salmon River is located in the middle of the Frank Church Wilderness Area. It’s the second deepest river gorge in the lower 48 (second to Hell’s Canyon) and its the largest wilderness area in the lower 48. Today as we work in the Tour West office, we are getting the first good snow of the season. Love watching the water being put in our mountain banks for the coming summer. It makes for great river running. This is what is happening to our cars while we are busy at work.

Tour West has had a busy Spring running trips through the Grand Canyon and Cataract Canyon. We are starting the Salmon river trips in July. The weather has been perfect. I am posting a picture taken with a Go Pro camera. They are perfect for river trips. The waterproof cameras seem to withstand all the water and sand.I would love to be standing in this spot right now!

Ok- I am not a salesperson for Teva, but I love their shoes. I buy them once a year. This year, new, are hiking shoes. I love them! They are comfortable, support well, and keep me from turning my ankle. Love them! They are good to take on the river for hikes! The other two I wear everyday for work. Teva is a shoe company that was founded by a Grand Canyon River Guide. He wanted shoes to keep his feet dry and protected. It is amazing how the company has progressed. I don’t know the founder of Teva, but I am glad he saw a need and was creative enough to find a solution out of tire rubber and straps.

Spring is here. I will attach a picture as proof. It is a little deceiving because it snowed on our mountains yesterday. Because Spring is here our first river trip in the Grand Canyon launches Monday, April 15th. What a way to celebrate tax day.
